Voyageurs National Park to begin the task this month of removing hazard markers and buoy from lakes within the park.
Depending on the weather, that job could start today.
The park’s also reminding the public that hunting and trapping is prohibiting within its boundaries.
Failing to do so can is a federal offence that can result in fines of up to $10-thousand and/or six months in jail for misdemeanor violations.
It’s a $20-thousand find and/or 5 years in jail on felony convictions.
