Don’t forget to add voting to your to-do list for today.
Today is election day.
The polls will be open across the Rainy River riding from 9:30 am until 9:30 pm.
In order to cast a ballot, you need to present a valid driver’s licence or any other card issued by a Canadian government with your photo, name and current address.
Alternatively, you can vote by showing two pieces of ID including your health card, a status card or bank statement as long as one has your current address.
Although it’s not required it is recommended that you bring your voter information card to make the process run more smoothly.
The incumbent MP for the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding is not running.
Don Rusnak announced earlier he wanted to spend more time with his young family.
That’s leaving it wide open for six other candidates to take over.
Marcus Powlowski is the Liberal candidate this time.
Yuk-Sem Won is representing the NDP party.
The Conservative candidate is Linda Rydholm.
Amanda Moddejonge is running for the Greens and Andrew Hartnell is the candidate for the People Party.
