One utility says it wants to help customers while workplaces are shut down because of the 2019 novel coronavirus.
Hydro One is halting its late payment fees until May 7th.
That time period lines up with the province’s suspension of Time-of-Use rates for electricity. Hydro One is also praising the Ontario government for the move which was announced Tuesday.
Hydro One says it is also giving 4,000 eligible businesses back their security deposits, for a total of around $5-million.
