Increased testing for COVID-19 by Riverside Health Care.
Riverside is taking steps to test all asymptomatic staff, residents and inpatients starting with residents and select staff at its long-term care facilities.
Vice-president of Clinical Services Julie Loveday says it’s another way of expanding on the protection for everyone.
“To date all test results for our long-term care residents and staff members have come back negative,” says Loveday.
Riverside has also implemented a new courier service to help get tests to Toronto leading to results being known in 2 to 3 days.
