One person is dead after a twin-engine aircraft crashed at Thunder Bay International Airport.
In a statement from President & CEO Ed Schmidtke Tuesday morning, the Airport’s Operational Specialists responded to the accident just after 9:00 p.m. Monday, along with Thunder Bay Fire, Thunder Bay Police Services and Superior North EMS.
The scene is now being held for investigation by the Transportation Safety Board.
All incoming flights were halted. Planes already inbound were turned around.
