More unmarked graves at former residential schools.
Saskatchewan’s Keeseekoose First Nation says 54 sites on two former Catholic-run schools were discovered using ground-penetrating radar.
The former Fort Pelly and St. Philips schools were located near the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border, 265 kilometres northeast of Regina.
Forty-two of the gravesites were located at the former Fort Pelly school site. The other twelve were identified at the St. Philips site.
In the last year, more than 15-hundred sites have been located at eight former schools in western Canada.
