A third municipality in the Rainy River District has declared a state of emergency because of flooding.
The township of Emo made the declaration on Wednesday after assessing the damage caused to roads and its riverfront.
The township says its Emergency Control Group is monitoring the possibility of further damage as river levels rise.
There’s no immediate threat to residents, but the township is asking people to avoid areas that are flooded or appear to be affected by the high waters.
The town of Fort Frances and the township of La Vallee declared emergencies on the weekend.
