A flood warning issued last month for the Rainy River District has once again been extended.
The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry is extending it another week as area lakes and streams continue to rise.
Rainy Lake is now above its 2014 peak and inching toward its 1950 high.
Namakan Lake could exceed a 1916 high watermark in the next couple of weeks.
The Ministry says while drier weather help in their decline, other bodies of water that flow into the two lakes remain high or extremely high.
