Rainy Lake is now projected to rise another two to six centimetres before reaching its peak.
The lake is now eight centimetres over the high water mark set in 1950.
The peak could come as early as next week, but that is dependent upon how much rain we receive.
Forecasts say as much as 30 millimetres could fall in the next week.
Sandbagging operations are suspended in Fort Frances.
Town officials say a large stock of sandbags is now available for residents at the Shevlin Woodyard.
You have to contact the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service in advance.
The number to call is 274-9841, ext. 1.
The town says sandbagging efforts will restart if the situation changes and more bags are required.
Meantime, sandbagging operations are continuing in International Falls and Couchiching First Nation.
