Wes Fest is coming to Rainy Lake Square in Fort Frances.
It’s a night of local music tomorrow night.
The Fort Frances Museum’s Kayleigh Speirs says there will be five local bands playing.
“It’s going to be a really, exciting awesome event. It’s going to be kind of a whole evening thing starting at 4 p.m. and going until at least 10. There’s going to be food. Flint House will be on the premises doing food and drinks. There’s going to be a fundraising penny table happening. Rainy River First Nations – they’re raising proceeds for a volleyball trip. It’s going to be a pretty exciting day,” says Speirs.
The event is named after Wes Debungee, one of the main organizers of the event.
The bands to be featured include Kings of None, Phoenix Project, Nowhere Bound, the Lynx Band and the Stepdown Band.
The first band hits the stage at 4 p.m. Saturday, and there is no cost to attend.
Patrons may want to bring a lawn chair.
