Three golfers from Fort Frances and one from Kenora have earned berths to the all-Ontario golf championships.
Jaxon Savage of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Kenora shot a round of 77 to finish in a tie for first at the NWOSSA championships played in Thunder Bay but lost out on a gold medal in a playoff round.

The Saints’ boys’ team fell short of qualifying, finishing in second place behind the Lac Des Mille Lac First Nation-run Seventh Fire Education Institute based in Thunder Bay.
Fort Frances golfers, Maddie Bliss and Logan McPherson finished 1-2 in the girls’ division.
Courtney McCoy, who finished fifth, also qualified for the provincial championship next week in Collingwood.
