Visitor restrictions are in place at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home in Fort Frances.
Riverside Health Care Facilities says it is due to a respiratory outbreak at the home.
Residents are permitted only two visitors or caregivers at one time.
Visits are also restricted to a resident’s room.
There are exceptions for palliative care visitation.
There are also restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges, and large group social activities until further notice.
Riverside is urging all visitors to conduct a self-screening before entering.
Anyone experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms should not visit until the outbreak is declared over.
