More than ten thousand dollars has been raised for area charities.
It came as part of the Voyageur Lions Club’s polar plunge.
Poor ice conditions forced the annual event to be moved from New Year’s Day until Family Day.
More than twenty people took part by jumping into the ice waters of Rainy Lake.
Half of the $10,370 raised will go directly to the cause of choice of the jumps, with the rest going to the Voyageur Lions Club to fund projects it supports.
