The Fort Frances Public Library and Technology Centre is reducing its hours.
Budget cuts will leave the library opening 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning on April 1st.
Currently, the library is open until 8 p.m. on both days.
Hours of operation on Tuesdays and Wednesdays remain untouched, opening from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The library is also open on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday hours were eliminated in 2020.
The change in hours follows a decision by the library board to cut the budget by over 2 per cent.
Town council accepted the budget after rejecting an administration recommendation for a lower library budget.
