The final stamp on this year’s budget for the town of Fort Frances will come Monday.
Town council will consider the necessary by-law that makes the budget official.
A presentation on its details will be given before the vote.
This year’s tax increase comes in at 5.96% for residential ratepayers.
Town officials say this year’s budget was influenced by expenses the town has no control over, like policing costs and levies to the District of Rainy River Services Board.
An initial budget shortfall of over a million dollars was eventually paired down to over $700,000 before the budget received council’s approval last month.
