Starbucks Cafes will be closing down in some Safeway stores in northwestern Ontario.
Staff will serve their last hot brewed coffees, lattes and cappuccinos on June 1st.
The decision to close the kiosk was made by Sobey’s, Safeway’s parent company.
In an email to Acadia News, Corporate Affairs Manager Sarah Dawson says they regularly review operations and made the decision to close out the Starbucks locations at their stores in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances.
Dawson says staff have been offered employment in the grocery store.
