The town of Atikokan has its budget for this year in place.
The town is budgeting to spend more than $21.5 million.
This includes $10.8 million on capital projects.
For residential ratepayers, it means a tax increase of 3.96%, lowered to 3.79% when the education portion is included.
Treasurer Brandy Coulson says the increase works out to an extra $110 on the average residential tax bill.
