Another development is proposed for the former mill property in Fort Frances.
The BMI Group is looking to convert a former paint shop into a business development office.
It would be used by Big Grassy First Nation.
According to a letter provided to the town’s Chief Building Official and Municipal Planner, the 2,200 square-foot building would accommodate approximately ten full-time people.
It says BMI is already entering into a lease agreement with Big Grassy.
BMI is now seeing a minor variance to the zoning that would permit the conversion of the paint shop into office space.
The property owners recently received a zoning amendment on the property around a former warehouse for the development of a wellness centre.
