The emergency department at the Rainy River Health Centre will reopen on Monday at 9 a.m.
The announcement comes just a day after Riverside Health Care announced the department’s closure.
Riverside is also clarifying the reason behind the closure.
It states that it is due to a staffing issue that was unforeseen and is an isolated incident.
Patients requiring emergency care are being transported to LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances for care until the emergency department reopens.
Riverside says no other hospital department is impacted by the closure.
