Plenty of mineral exploration activity is expected this summer in northwestern Ontario.
BC-based Kenorland Minerals says it will conduct work at five sites covering more than 330 thousand hectares believed to contain minerals such as gold, lithium and nickel.
The fieldwork is to help define areas for future drilling programs.
” In addition to the multiple first-pass, property-wide geochemical surveys covering new projects, we are carrying out detailed prospecting and HMC (heavy mineral concentrate) till surveys at South Uchi (near Red Lake), following up on two very significant gold-in-till anomalies generated from previous regional surveys,” states Zach Flood, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kenorland.
“This strategy will allow us to continue developing a strong pipeline of exploration targets with real potential for new discoveries.”
The sites targeted are located near Atikokan, Wabigoon, Nestor Falls, Kenora and Red Lake.
