The Memorial Sports Centre is getting ready for a reopening of the pool and the Ice for Kids Arena.
The ice will be back for the summer on Monday.
It has attracted a lot of interest, including from some out-of-town groups.
The centre is also advertising on its Facebook page opportunities for public skating and shinny hockey for all ages.
Town council agreed earlier this year to have summer ice as a pilot project.
A week after the skaters return, the centre’s pool will reopen.
It has been closed for renovations since last November.
Along with programs like swim lessons and aquafit, the centre is providing time for public swimming.
