Fort Frances town council will discuss next week how to fill the vacancy at its table.
A notice from the town says the clerk’s office officially received Mandi Olson’s resignation on Monday.
It sets in motion a process toward filling her seat at the council table.
According to the notice, council will meet on October 28th, first to declare the vacancy before deciding how it will be filled.
A previous resignation of David Kircher in May was filled by Kaleb Firth, the last remaining candidate from the 2022 civic election.
Options this time could include a by-election or advertising the position to seek potential candidates and council appointing a person.
A report on all the options will also be presented to council on October 28th.
