Voting details for the February 27th provincial election have been released.
That information can be found on the Elections Ontario website.
This includes polling locations on election day and for the advance polls taking place on February 20-22.
It will also be on voter cards being mailed out next week.
Voter card provide details of when and when to vote but are not required to cast a ballot.
You must be registered with Elections Ontario to receive a card.
Registration is through Elections Ontario’s website.
A scannable version of the voter card can also be obtained online upon registering.
Elections Ontario estimates that 10.8 million residents are eligible to vote.
A total of 768 candidates representing 20 parties are running in this election.
Important Dates for Voting
January 29 to February 21 – Submit your application to vote by mail by 6 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Central) on February 21. Apply online or download an application at elections.on.ca.
January 30 to February 26 – Vote before election day at your local election office or request a home visit until 6 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Central) on February 26. Visit elections.on.ca for more information.
February 17 to 19 – Election officials will visit participating hospitals with voting kits.
February 20 to 26 – You can use assistive voting technology at your local election office.
February 20 to 22 – Vote at any advance voting location in your electoral district, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca for specific dates, times and locations. You can use assistive voting technology at designated advance voting locations.
February 27 – Vote on election day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central). Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca for your assigned voting location. Assistive voting is available at your local election office by appointment.
