Two US Border Patrol Agents are cited for their actions in separate weekend accidents.
One was a snowmobile accident near Rainer Beach in Rainer on Saturday afternoon.
The driver suffered a head injury.
An agent from the International Falls station was first on scene and provided medical aid until other emergency personal arrived.
Later that night, a patrol agent from Warroad came across a two-vehicle accident on an ice road leading to Northwest Angle on Lake of the Woods.
The agent was also able to provide first aid while relaying his exact location to help other emergency personnel to reach the scene.
“Our agents are highly trained to respond to all types of situations,” says Grand Forks Sector Chief Patrol Agent Anthony S. Good. “Fortunately for the injured parties involved in these accidents, our agents were there to assist them and get them the medical care they needed. We hope for a full recovery for both of them.”
