The town of Fort Frances is beginning to open up its recreation and cultural facilities now that we’ve entered stage three of the province’s reopening strategy.
The Memorial Sports Centre opens today from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. but by appointment only.
Aqua Fitness classes will start on July 19. Swimming lessons and summer programs are planned to re-start on August 3.
The ice at the Ice for Kids Arena will go in on August 16.
The Fort Frances Library and Technology Centre is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Fort Frances Senior Centre will open July 26, while the Fort Frances Museum is slated to open July 27.
Fuel at the Marina is now available seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
All of the facilities are still following certain public health measures such as mask-wearing, physical distancing and capacity limits.
