Area cattle producers in the Rainy River District are hoping to hear news soon if aid will be coming their way.
A number of them were able to plead their case during a meeting yesterday with the province’s Agricultural Minister, Lisa Thompson.
Kim-Jo Bliss, who was a part of that meeting, tells 93.1 The Border the meeting, at times, was very emotional.
Local farmers have been facing feed shortages, dry fields and pastures this year.
Some have had to ship cattle out of the area because of it.
