Sandbagging operations in International Falls will be taking a day off.
Koochiching County says staff and volunteers have amassed a substantial amount of sandbags that the site at Kerry Park will become a self-serve only one on Sunday.
The County has been aided by area residents, students, members of the National Guard and several people who have come from outside of the area to help with the flood response.
Self-serve bags are also available at the Voyageur Way satellite location.
Sandbagging operations in Fort Frances have also been paused.
Residents needing sandbags from the former Shevlin Woodyard site are asked to first call the Fort Frances Fire Department’s non-emergency line.
