Mike Ford has been returned to office for a second term as Reeve of Alberton Township.
He defeated former reeve Mike Hammond by almost 50 votes in Monday night’s vote.
Voter turnout was 46 per cent, which is one of the best in the past couple of decades.
There were thirteen ballots township election officials declared as being spoiled or rejected.
Eleven of those ballots failed to contain the Voter Declaration Form, necessary in determining who voted.
Alberton residents voted by mail.
There was no election for the four councillor positions.
Here are the results from Monday night.
