There are some changes to the COVID-19 screening and masking protocols at LaVerendrye Hospital.
Riverside Health Care says it is removing screening kiosks from the hospital in Fort Frances.
Visitors will now follow what Riverside calls more passive self-screening measures.
People with fever, cough, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms are asked not to visit unless they are seeking care.
Masks are no longer required unless you are heading to the emergency room.
Riverside says they will still make masks available on-site for those wanting to wear one elsewhere.
Clinical staff will wear one when providing care to patients.
Masks are also still needed when going to the Emo and Rainy River Health Centres and Rainycrest Long Term Care.
Riverside says this follows Ministry of Health directives.
The measures were put in place at the start of the pandemic.
