A technical report recommends more exploration take place at a potentially gold-rich property at Mine Centre.
The site is owned by Q-Gold Resources.
The report suggests a need for additional field work and drilling to follow up on the company’s previous work.
The area was the site of the Foley Mine, which began operations in the late 1890s but shut down in 1927 because of financial issues.
Q-Gold has held the property since 2005, with drilling taking place in 2021 and 2022 that identified the presence of gold.
The report pegs a two-phase program costing more than $2 million.
