An issue with the pool deck is forcing the town of Fort Frances to close its pool.
It just reopened early this month after going through extensive structural repairs.
Town officials cite deficiencies with the coating placed on the pool deck as the reason for the closure this time.
The contractor that did the initial work is returning to make the repairs.
That will result in the pool closing from September 9th until the 23rd.
“While we understand this closure may be inconvenient, it is necessary to ensure the safety and quality of our swimming environment,” states a release from the town.
“We recognize that this closure will affect many individuals and groups who rely on our pool for recreation and fitness. Our teams at Operations and Facilities and the Recreation and Culture are working hard to minimize any disruptions.”
