The Fort Frances Power Corporation says it is not them.
Some residents have been getting calls from individuals claiming to be from the Power Corp and threatening disconnection.
The caller also asks for immediate payment over the phone.
The Corporation says it never threatens such action or seeks payment with a pre-paid credit card.
It advises users to call them if they have questions about their account.
Accounts can be paid in person or through your financial institution.
