Concern from students has led to charges against another in Atikokan.
The Rainy River District School Board says two students expressed concern to staff at Northern Lakes School about a possible threat.
That led to the school putting into motion a Privacy in Place protocol that kept students and staff in their classrooms while administrative staff and Provincial Police searched the school.
A 15-year-old student was removed and later charged with uttering threats and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
No details were revealed about the kind of weapon discovered.
The suspect remained in custody pending the outcome of a court appearance on Thursday in the Fort Frances Ontario Youth Justice Court.
