Residential taxpayers in Fort Frances can expect to see an increase in their property taxes of just less than 1.5 per cent.
Town council put the final touches on this year’s budget Monday.
Mayor Roy Avis feels its a good one for the community.
The increase amounts to an average of about 33-dollars, though some homeowners will see their taxes drop slightly.
The budget is still missing the education levy rate from the province.
Treasurer Laurie Witherspoon says last year rate was used and doesn’t see much impact on the numbers when the new one is finally announced.
The budget also includes just a little more than $12-million in capital spending.
