Efforts to improve playground equipment at an neighbourhood park in International Falls continue.
Backus Community Center is help to raise $30-thousand dollars in a Pennies for Play campaign for Green Acres Park.
Spokesperson Robin Bjornquist says they will hold a free picnic at the park tonight to help raise awareness.
The park is located at 6th Avenue East and 17th Street with the picnic going from 5 to 6:30.
The campaign so far has raised about $6,000.
