John Rafferty will not be running in the provincial election in June representing the Thunder Bay-Atikokan riding for the NDP.
In a news release, the riding association says he’s begun treatment for a recently diagnosed serious medical condition.
Rafferty was MP for Thunder Bay-Rainy River from 2008 until 2015 when he loss a bid for a third term to Liberal Don Rusnak.
