Another member of the Fort Frances Lakers will suit up for the St. Scholastica Saints of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
Defenceman Nate Drobnick joins Jaedin Ness in committing to the Duluth college this fall.
Drobnick was the only Laker to play in all 56 regular season games this past season.
Rainy River Voyageurs men’s baseball team earning a weekend sweep of Mesabi Range.
The Voyageurs won 9-2 and 11-5 Friday.
They follow that up with wins on Saturday of 13-2 and 20-4.
Both those games lasted 5 innings.
The Rainy River Voyageurs women’s softball team dropped a pair of games Friday to Central Lakes, losing 13-4 and 9-0.
They’re scheduled to play a doubleheader with Itasca today.
