Fort Frances Muskies soccer teams have the early lead in the NorWOSSA standings following the first regular season mini tournament played in Fort Frances.
The boys team score a 4-0 win over the Dryden Eagles then a 3-0 win over Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos to start the season.
The girls edged the Eagles 3-2 then settled for a 1-1 draw with the Broncos.
Both teams are in tournament action in Kenora this weekend.
Rainy River Owls soccer teams suffering losses to Kenora’s Thomas Aquinas Saints in NorWOSSA A action played in Sioux Lookout.
The boys lost 1-0 while the girls fell 2-1.
Both play Sioux North today.
International Falls Broncos golf teams finished 2nd at the Falls Invitational held at the River Golf Course.
The boys were 3 stokes back of Virginia with Nick Tanner shooting a team best 76 for a second place finish in the individual standings.
The girls team finished 5 back of Eveleth-Gilbert.
Kenzie Wenberg, Morgan Rasmussen and Olivia Wright all shot rounds of 88.
