The first round of consultations on Hydro One’s proposed Wassigan Transmission Line in northwestern Ontario has been completed.
It’s a 230-kilovolt transmission line that would run from Thunder Bay to Atikokan and eventually to Dryden.
Public sessions were held last week Dryden, Ignace, Atikokan, Kakabeka Falls and Thunder Bay.
Spokesperson Steven Mantiful says they were happy with the feedback.
Mantiful says many people were interested in what the line will mean for local jobs instead of the project as a whole.
Hydro One has now introduced its terms of reference for an environmental assessment.
Mantiful says more open houses will be held during the environmental process.
Mantiful says you can also contact Hydro One directly.
