The Hancock, Michigan based team plays in the NCAA III division.
Vanunden has been playing junior hockey in the BC area since graduating from the high school ranks in 2015.
This year, he was third in team scoring while with the Victoria Cougars of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.
