Thirteen million dollars is being doled out by the federal government.
The money is going to 100 communities, agencies and organizations across the country who will hold initiatives and programs to assist with healing in response to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres and the Ontario Native Women’s Association are among groups receiving money.
