Long-awaited funding for the town of Fort Frances.
The provincial government is providing $3-million to the town for the reconstruction of a section of Scott Street.
The money comes through the province’s Connecting Link Funding program for municipal roads that serve as a link to the provincial highway system.
The work will take place along Scott between Colonization Road East and Reid Avenue.
The project has been on the town’s capital works books for several years but was often shelved because of a lack of provincial funding in the past.
