A 17-year-old is facing impaired driving charges following a weekend motor vehicle accident southeast of Emo.
OPP were called to the scene on George Road at around 7 a.m. Sunday.
Along with an impaired driving charge, the teen driver was handed an additional charge for being a novice driver which under law prohibits any alcohol being in their system when behind the wheel.
He’s in court August 26 to answer to the charges.
Another impaired driver was stopped at the Fort Frances border on the weekend.
The 52-year-old woman from Frederic, Wisconsin was held by Canada Border Services Agency officers Saturday night after conducting a roadside test.
She was later formally charged by OPP and will be in a Fort Frances courtroom in September.
