Some financial help to Seine River First Nation with its construction of a new cultural centre.
The federal government kicking in $700-thousand towards the project.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Don Rusnak was in the community for the announcement.
The new facility will include workshop spaces where traditional skills, crafts, and other art activities will take place. There’s also an exhibition and archival storage areas.
Another $70,000 is being awarded to hire curatorial and heritage interpretative specialists to assist in the development of programming at the centre.
