Winning pitcher Guy Arpin and Aiden Tom slugged homers for the winning side.
Moody Kelly went yard for the Lakers.
Stratton will now face Barwick.
A team representing the Rainy River District Men’s Fastball League won their first game at the North American Fastpitch Association ‘A’ division championship in Mankato, Minnesota.
The Northern Ontario Selects edged the Wisconsin Rivals 3-2.

Go-karting at Emo last night saw Landon DeGagne capture the feature race in the junior class.
Abby Gamie was the winner in the Advanced division.
It’s a double race weekend at Emo Speedway.
Racing goes tonight and tomorrow night as part of the Fall Fair.
It’s also known as the Rea Memorial.
Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. both nights. That’s an hour earlier than usual.
A couple of area drivers who might be racing this weekend in Emo were at Grand Rapids Speedway last night.
Cameron Brown of Rainy River failed to finish the modified feature and placing 15th.
Blake Ferris of Emo broke in a heat race and couldn’t start the feature.
In the midwest mod feature, Joey Krause of International Falls was 12th.
At Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Emo’s Christopher Leek was 15th in the mid-west mod feature.
