Another review of cellphone plans is being launched.
The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commissions wants to ensure customers aren’t caught with unnecessary or unwanted charges.
It stems from last month’s decision which ordered firms to stop offering wireless device contracts that exceeded two years.
Some companies were getting around a previous rule by offering no money down deals in the first of a three-year contract.
The CRTC now gathering public comment before making a final ruling on those plans.
