Minnesotans are showing their support for stronger background checks on gun purchases and the legalization of marijuana.
They are some of the findings arising from a poll conducted during the recent Minnesota State Fair.
Over 89 per cent give support to background checks on guns.
56 per cent favoured marijuana being legalizing in the state.
The informal poll is conducted annually by the nonpartisan House Public Information Services Office.
More than 11-thousand fairgoers took part this year.
