The Terry Fox Run returns to Fort Frances this Sunday.
Registration will take place at 1 p.m. at the Sorting Gap Marina with the actual run taking place at 2 p.m.
Organizer Judy Koski says they are hoping for lots of sunshine and plenty of participants.
“You can run, you can walk, you can push a stroller, you can bring your dog with you. A lot of people take their dogs for a walk. Any means of transportation you have you can make that walk,” says Koski.
The event has been taking place in Fort Frances since 1993, raising thousands of dollars since for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Koski says while the money does not stay in Fort Frances, local cancer patients are helped by the Foundation’s work.
“Lot of people who have dealt with cancer in the past have to go outside of Fort Frances so these funds reach far and wide wherever we are.”
To register or find pledge forms, you can go click here to the Foundation’s website. Pledge forms can also be obtained at the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau located at the former CN train station.
