It’s Hallowe’en and a large number of trick or treaters are expected to haunt the Fort Frances Public Library tonight.
That’s where Trunk or Treat will take place.
Chair of the organizing committee Samantha Manty says they will be ready.
“Thinks are lining up great for Trunk or Treat. We have 25 trunks that are coming out to hand candy out to the kids and we’re just really excited to have everyone out for a fun evening,” says Manty.
It goes from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m.
There will also be a costume catwalk to show of the costumes which will take place inside the library at 5:30 p.m. Prizes will also be awarded to the best trunks as selected by a panel of judges.
The Kiwanis Club will also be on hand to give hot dogs to all of the youngsters who will be attending.
Last year more than 700 children took in the event.
The program is aided by the generous donation of treats every year from many groups and individuals. Manty says they’re still accepting that support.
“We still accept donations of candy or monetary donations but as far as trunks go, unfortunately, we don’t have room for any more for trunks.”
