Seven Generations Education Institute will be offering three new programs in the new year.
All will also be run during the evenings and on weekends at its Fort Frances campus.
Post-Secondary Coordinator Don Eldridge says a new building allows them to be more flexible with their programs.
“We’re no longer in a rented facility, all of our faculty is under one roof so it just kind of makes sense to have this as an extension of what we already do,” says Eldridge.
Application to the Early Childhood Education diploma program, Human Resources certificate program and Personal Support Worker program are now being accepted.
New evening and weekend programs will be available at Seven Generations Education Institute’s Fort Frances campus in the new year.
Application is now being accepted for an Early Childhood Education diploma program, Human Resources certificate program and Personal Support Worker program.
A part-time Bachelor of Arts degree program in partnership with Lakehead University is also being offered on weekends.
I also offer enough courses throughout the academic year that a person could really be doing the program full time if they wanted to. I offer enough courses that you could actually be considered a full-time university student right here in Fort Frances.”
Eldridge also sees more after-hours programming being offered in the future.
“Just from a space perspective, we have to expand into more evening based programs because we just don’t have the classroom space to offer everything during the regular business day. So this is just kind of a natural evolution to what we’re doing.”
